FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I'm a new host. When do I start my group?

As a new host we encourage you to start your group as soon as you can. Begin inviting people and meeting with them as soon as you can. Invite your neighbor, your grocery clerk, even your barista. Also, while you're at church, ask the people you see if they are in a small group. If not, invite them to yours! Think of the people you have normal interactions with and invite them to come to your group.

Please aim to begin the Belong curriculum by the week of Monday, September 17. This times the study perfectly to finish the week before Trunk or Treat. Don't forget to pick up a DVD and participant guide in the lobby at church. Remind your group members to pick up their participant guides as well.

The participant guides are 75 full-color pages, which include the weekly session guides, space to journal and write notes and daily devotionals all in one. This tool is phenomenal and well worth your $10 investment. Please consider sponsoring a participant guide for someone else who cannot do so.

I'm a new host. When will I find out who is in my group?

Whether hosting a small group is a big step of faith or an easy "next step" for you, we want to say thank you! Your commitment to hosting a small group creates an opportunity for others to also belong to genuine friendships and God's family. God loves small groups because we are not meant to be alone!

Begin inviting people and meeting with them as soon as you can. Invite your neighbor, your grocery clerk, even your barista. Also, while you're at church, ask the people you see if they are in a small group. If not, invite them to yours! Think of the people you have normal interactions with and invite them to come to your group.

We want to invite all small group hosts to come hang-out in the parking lot during the Kick Off Event on Saturday, September 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. or Sunday, September 16 after any of the services. We will have name tags available for you so people can easily identify you as a small group host. We hope and pray that this time of meeting new people and connecting will allow you to invite people to your group, as well as help them find belonging and Experience God’s Grace through you.
